Surprisingly... Vilnius!
Finally we got the opportunity to go to Lithuania and visit our friend Ruta! We didn't get that good weather, although the city surprised us positively, as could be compared with a Swiss city in the german part; clean, quite, with order and all the buildings well painted.
We arrived to Vilnius at midnight (actually we go the longest day in the year and at 11 pm we were able to see light in the sky) and the day after we went to Trakai that used to be the capital of Lithuania, but many years ago.
Vilnius was declared in 2009 the cultural capital of European union and the baroque city center is considered UNESCO heritage for humankind.
We tried most of the typical food, beer and even cakes!
